Workshops
My workshops enable learners to think creatively while giving them practical tools and guidance about how to get started with stories. I have over a decade's experience as an English teacher and hold an MA in Education.
I aim to inspire others to become more confident writers and instil a love of reading and storytelling. Every workshop I deliver is tailored to the individual group and can have a focus on character development, setting, planning or any specific skill that you would like some support with. Workshops can be delivered to all ages from primary school children to GCSE students across the northeast.
For younger children, I can facilitate craft based sessions, for example making a tiny book or a hanging sheep decoration. Alongside creative writing workshops, I also offer creative reading sessions, non-fiction carousel activities, paired reading guidance for young mentors, assembly talks and library workshops.
I have experience delivering workshops in nurseries, primaries and secondary schools.

Testimonials
'Victoria's creative writing workshop engaged our students and allowed them to express their ideas in ways they wouldn't have thought of independently. They learned crucial creative writing skills they can now transfer into their learning back at school. Her approach with the students created a safe, productive environment where all students felt comfortable expressing their ideas. Students very much enjoyed the workshop and we are looking forward to Victoria working with more of our students across the trust in the future.'
